If you’re new to cosmetic injections, you might be nervous about the sensation. Don’t worry! We’ve been there too. We can add a complimentary topical numbing agent prior to injection.
We get to know you and your skin
Each visit, we learn more about you, taking detailed notes so each time you come in the injector is able to fine tune your dose and precise injection site. The more we see you, the better we are at helping your skin.
We empower you to feel better
Once your treatments are over, we offer, and highly encourage, a complimentary follow up appointment to review your results and ensure you are satisfied. These usually take place 10 days after your initial injection.

How does Botox work?
Botox and Dysport work by temporarily freezing your facial muscles, diminishing the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
Should I get Botox or fillers? What’s the difference?
Botox reduces the movement of muscles where wrinkles are formed.
Fillers focus on adding volume back to the face.
PRP (platelet rich plasma) focuses on helping the body produce more fat tissue in the area injected for a more youthful appearance.
Sculptra helps the body to grow more collagen fibers.
Each of these are types of injections but used for a different purpose. Often you may get these injections done together.

What are Botox units? How many will I need?
Botox units are a measurement used for the amount of Botox injected into the body. Depending on the area of concern, the amount of units used will vary. We encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss your skin concerns and what the treatment process and cost might look like for your desired results.
How much down time should I expect?
You can return to your normal everyday activities after treatment. There may be some redness after the injections, which will subside within the hour. No one should notice that you’ve had a procedure done.
Are my friends or partner going to notice?
Probably not. When performed by licensed and trained injectors, like ours at AVIVA, the goal is to look like you have not had ‘work’ done. We aim to help you look more rested and age gracefully.
How long does Botox last?
Botox cosmetic injections may last up to four months, with results appearing as early as 5 days of your first treatment.
How long does the procedure take?
Botox injections are usually a 15-60 minute in-office procedure at AVIVA, with time varying based on the size of the area receiving injections.
Will I experience any pain during the treatment?
Many people claim Botox injections feel like being pinched or slight stinging. If you’re nervous about the sensation, we offer a complimentary topical numbing cream.
Will my face be frozen if I get Botox?
It can… If you want that. But we find that most individuals prefer to have some movement in certain areas of their face. If you like a more natural look, you may want to maintain some movement. Everyone is different, and we know that. So our providers take a progressive approach to help you achieve your desired outcome.
Can men get Botox?
Yes! In fact, 30% of our clientele are men. Men have reported that Botox helps their face look more refreshed, as if they’ve had a good night’s sleep.
Can younger adults get Botox too?
Yes! Botox can be a great preventative care treatment for anti-aging, as it prevents wrinkles from setting in before they start to appear.
Will I get bruising from Botox injections?
With careful injections, bruising is very rare – unlike HA filler. You may be red in the injection site but most redness is gone within the hour. Occasionally, you might notice a little bump, which is just fluid and also is gone within the hour.

Do you accept insurance or HSAs?
We do not work with any insurance group.
However, we do accept HSA and FSA Cards for covered health services (mostly services that aren’t cosmetic but check with your plan first!)
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Do I need to schedule an in-office visit or do you offer virtual visits?
Depending on the service, we can do both.
We are happy to invite you to our office located in Millcreek, UT for your initial consultation OR we can schedule a virtual visit.
Certain services are available virtually, and some follow ups can be conducted virtually as well.
