How does ThermiVa work?
ThermiVa® is a non-surgical, in-office, intimate care procedure. An anatomically-designed, temperature-controlled wand (the width of your pinky finger) delivers radio frequency (RF) energy to heat the vaginal tissues (internally and externally) to stimulate new, healthy collagen and nerve growth. It causes vaginal tissue tightening, increased moisture, bladder control, increased sensitivity and blood flow, as well as shrinkage of the labia majora and minora. This ground-breaking procedure is pain-free and requires no anesthesia or down-time. Most women report that the treatment feels similar to a hot stone massage. ThermiVa® is performed in three 30-minute treatments over the course of three months. All normal activities may be resumed the same day.
How does ThermiVa compare to laser treatments for vaginal rejuvenation?
Both ThermiVa (radio frequency) and laser technologies:

How much down time should I expect?
There is absolutely no down time. You can resume all normal activities the very same day, including exercise and sexual intimacy.
Who will be in the room during my treatment?
Our licensed Nurse Practitioners, who will perform the treatment, will be in the room with you. It is totally up to you if you would like an additional person in the room with you.
How many treatments will I need?
Our protocol is a series of three treatments performed once a month for three months. You will see results immediately following the first treatment. We also advise that you come back in about 12 months for a yearly maintenance application as part of your regular anti-aging regimen.
How long does the procedure take?
ThermiVa is a 30-45-minute in-office procedure at AVIVA. We will book you for an hour-long appointment for your first session to ensure all your questions are answered and you receive 5 star service before, during, and after your treatment.
Will I experience any pain during the treatment?
None at all! Most women find this treatment to be a surprisingly comfortable experience and equate the sensation to a hot stone massage.
What if I am pregnant?
We do not advise this treatment for women who are currently pregnant. However, this treatment is great for postpartum healing so we encourage you to come see us once you are cleared by your doctor.
What do I need to do to prepare?
There is no prep work required, but there are a few things to consider.
- Certain times of the month are better. If you are in the middle of your menstrual cycle, we are happy to reschedule your appointment.
- We require that you have had a healthy pap smear within the last two years.
- We ask that you remove all hair from the treatment area. If waxing or laser, please do so 5-7 days prior to avoid any additional irritation. If shaving please allow at least 1 day prior.
- We recommend that you increase hydration the day before your treatment.

Nope! The best tip you can offer us is your repeat business.
Do you accept insurance or HSAs?
We do not work with any insurance group.
However, we do accept HSA and FSA Cards for covered health services (mostly services that aren’t cosmetic but check with your plan first!)
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Do I need to schedule an in-office visit or do you offer virtual visits?
Depending on the service, we can do both.
We are happy to invite you to our office located in Millcreek, UT for your initial consultation OR we can schedule a virtual visit.
Certain services are available virtually, and some follow ups can be conducted virtually as well.
