1.    Love Your Skin

Another useful tip is to apply sunscreen whenever you step out of the house. You should also get regular facials and pamper your skin, at least quarterly. You should follow a good skin-care routine at home for the am and pm and also get a good sleep.

2.    Get Ample Exercise

Everyone can benefit from a little movement each day.  You should get at least 2 to 5 hours of exercise in a week. It helps to de-stress, relax, improves sleep, bones and muscles. Regular exercise helps improve mobility and also strengthens the muscles. A few easy workouts include walking, cycling, swimming and dancing. Apart from these workouts, you should also focus on balance training.

3.     Eat Whole Foods

If you want to age gracefully, the number one priority should be to eat a healthy balanced diet. This is a no brainer, and you might be well aware of the benefits of eating well. Stay away from processed foods as it affects the overall system of your body. Consume a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and lean proteins like fish and beans. You should also take your vitamin D in the form of fat-free diaries like milk, yoghurt and cheese. Also, remember to minimize your salt intake as this practice enhances a long and healthy life.

4.    Give Priority to Mental Health

Being happy and enjoying activities that lower your stress levels are very important for you. Spend time with your loved ones, socialize more and build a strong bond with those you care about. Having a pet will earn some brownie points if you suffer from anxiety and stress. Also, volunteering for a good cause or engaging in activities that give you pleasures are a few other things you can do.

5.    Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is a natural stress buster and also lowers the risk of heart diseases. A night of good sleep also plays an important role in keeping your skin healthy and naturally glowing. Apart from them, good sleep also helps improve your focus and concentration levels.
