Sculptra Overview
Sculptra is a wonderful treatment that helps restore your skin’s inner structure. Unlike a filler, this helps to create your own tissue to build your skin up for a more youthful and natural look.
What is Scupltra?
It is an extremely powerful collagen stimulator injectable liquid made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid, a synthetic form of lactic acid. Once injected, it begins working deep within the skin to help stimulate collagen production, reinforcing the skin’s inner structure and restoring its volume. They developed it for individuals with facial wasting resulting from HIV. How does it work?
It stimulates your own collagen, allowing tissue to volumize gradually. Over time, the Poly-L-Lactic Acid dissipates as your own tissue takes its place. Since the product triggers your body to build its own collagen, results are not immediate and can take anywhere from 4-6 months.

What about results?
This is NOT for individuals looking for a quick fix. But if you can be patient, Scupltra is well worth the wait! It is a gradual process because the body is working hard to produce your collagen fibers. Results takes 4-6 months with a series of 2-4 treatments depending on age and the full affect is seen at 9 months. Results last 2-3 years! Think of Sculptra as a long term plan with lasting natural results.
What to expect at my free consultation?
Our Aviva Woman Providers in Millcreek UT will take the time to assess your needs and review expectations. If you are wanting to focus on one area like the temples or hoping to help the full face, they will review a time line for an outcome. Typically, a series is recommended for best results spaced out accordingly: 4-6 weeks between the first and second treatment, 6-8 weeks between the second and third treatment, and 6-8 weeks between the third and forth treatment as needed. After that, it is usually a maintenance treatment of 1 syringe every year or so. When you come our our clinic in Millcreek, you can decide to be treated at the same visit. We do before and after pictures and schedule you for your follow up visit 4-6 weeks after. Once you come in for your follow up visit, you and the provider review how progress is made and reassess your treatment plan as needed. We cater the outcome to you!
