Peptide Therapy FAQs
What exactly are peptides?
Are peptides FDA Approved?
No. Most peptides used in clinical settings are not FDA-approved drugs, meaning they haven’t gone through the FDA’s formal drug approval process.
However, the peptides we use at Aviva Wo/Man are:
- Sourced from facilities that meet strict quality, purity, and safety standards
- Prescribed under the supervision of a licensed medical provider
Peptides are used off-label based on your unique needs, labs, and treatment goals—similar to many personalized wellness therapies.
Are peptides legal?
Yes—when prescribed under medical supervision and sourced from a licensed compounding pharmacy, peptides are legal for clinical use.
At Aviva Wo/Man, we source our peptides from U.S.-based compounding pharmacies that serve licensed healthcare providers. These peptides are formulated for “physician use only” and are not FDA-approved drugs, but may be prescribed off-label based on your needs.
We do not make drug claims or treat disease—we use peptides to support the body’s natural signaling processes as part of a personalized wellness plan.
Are peptides safe?
When prescribed and monitored appropriately, peptides are considered safe and well-tolerated. Side effects are rare and often mild (such as irritation at the injection site or digestive changes). Your provider will review all risks and benefits with you before starting treatment.
How are peptides taken?
All guests are taught proper injection technique and provided with the necessary supplies and disposal kits.
Do I need labs before starting?
Can I use peptides alongside other treatments?
