Can I wash my face when I get home?
Will I experience any pain during the treatment?
During microdermabrasion, most patients equate the feeling to a grainy facial massage or the lick of a cat’s tongue.
Despite common thought, radiofrequency treatments alone are actually quite pleasant – often associated with the feeling of a hot stone massage.
Finally, microneedling might involve some discomfort. We provide a complimentary topical numbing cream to ease any irritations during the procedure.
Are there any special instructions for taking care of my skin after my facial or chemical peel?
How do radiofrequency and microneedling work?
Similarly, microneedling is used to tighten and smooth the skin by stimulating collagen production. Fine micro-needles rapidly and gently create micro-channels in the skin to stimulate the body’s wound healing response. The result is more collagen and elastin production. The depth of the needle ranges from 0.5 – 1.0 millimeters depending on the area of the face. While there can be some discomfort, we offer a topical numbing agent.

What is PRP?
This is an injection procedure where our expert provider draws your blood and spins it very specifically in a centrifuge to extract the healing factors from your blood and immediately inject them back into your skin and tissue.
What ingredients are used in a chemical skin peel?
The chemical peel ingredients we use can be separated into 4 main categories: enzymes, alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acids (BHA), and trichloroacetic acid (TCA).
- Enzyme peels, while similar to chemical peels, use fruit enzymes to remove a layer of dead skin and nourish the underlying epidermis. This reflects in the lower downtime needed after this specific peel.
- Lactic acid (AHA) combines the exfoliation and skin lightening power of up to 50% lactic acid (depending on your needs and provider recommendation) and skin calming herbal extracts. A superior exfoliant and treatment for hyperpigmentaion, Lactic Action 50 Exfoliator is the preferred peel for skin of color.
- Salicylic acid (BHA) is great for conditions such as acne and excessive oil production. This peel provides a strong exfoliation and increased cellular turnover for a superior all-around peeling. It will also help reduce inflammation! Salicylic acid is derived from the willow tree and used for a variety of skin concerns from acne and oily skin to large pores and even pigmentation.
- TCA is a medium-depth chemical peel often used to treat wrinkles, skin discoloration, and defects like scarring. This peel uniformly removes the top layer of skin and only a small portion of the underlying layer. There is more downtime associated with this type of peel.

However, we do accept HSA and FSA Cards for covered health services (mostly services that aren’t cosmetic but check with your plan first!)

Do I need to schedule an in-office visit or do you offer virtual visits?
Depending on the service, we can do both.
We are happy to invite you to our office located in Millcreek, UT for your initial consultation OR we can schedule a virtual visit.
Certain services are available virtually, and some follow ups can be conducted virtually as well.
